Jorge Vanegas

Jorge is the artistic director and founding member of El Globo Theater Workshop Association. He is also an actor and scriptwriter. He has participated in countless productions as director and actor in Colombia and abroad. He was the director of the Theater School of the Popular Institute of Culture for more than 30 years. He has taught at several Colombian universities and conducted workshops at national and foreign events. As an actor, he participated in more than twenty television productions. In recognition of his extensive artistic work, he received the Medal of Merit for scenic production and the Proartes Award of Cali 2007. He was also director of more than 45 plays and parades in Cali, such as Parade of the Vallecaucanidad (2005), Cali´s Anniversary (2005), Buga´s Anniversary (2006), International Theater Day Parade (2007), Cali Fair Parade (2007), Old Cali Carnival Parade from 2009 to 2015.
